India saves Chinese ship

Mumbai, May 6: India’s navy and coastguard outpaced Nato forces to foil a hijack bid on a Chinese merchant vessel off the Karnataka coast yesterday, earning an expression of gratitude from Beijing.



“We were the first to reach the spot and, at great risk to our men and aircraft, flew very low to scare and send off the pirates who had already boarded the ship.
