Children attacked in Juarez

(CNN) -- Six children were shot in a Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, neighborhood, the state-run Notimex news agency reported, citing police. Two boys and four girls, ranging in ages from 8 to 16, were attacked Wednesday night, Notimex reported. The two girls died. According to police, the children were playing in the back patio of a home when they were surprised by the armed men. The four boys were hospitalized in critical condition, Notimex reported.
