India will maintain 8.5 percent growth rate this year: PM
From ANIOn Board Air India One, May 28: Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on Saturday said that his government's main ambition was to maintain the growth rate of at least 8.5 percent per annum. "As of now I have not seen any signs that we should change our views, with regard to our ability to sustain a growth rate of 8.5 percent, agricultural situation will unfold itself, whatever evidence we have we expect a normal monsoon," Dr. Singh told reporters while returning home
