Digital India needs repackaged laws that account for online disputes
One recalls the way Delhi Police had arrested Baazi.com (subsequently acquired by eBay.com) CEO Avnish Bajaj, way back in 2004, in connection with the hosting and sale of the infamous DPS MMS sex video clip from the ecommerce portal. Even then, the action had happened first, and all interpretations of the law and its violations were debated thereafter. And oh yes, how can one forget Apple getting sued in India for offering its downloads only through iTunes. I wonder
