Former Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty jump started the race for the Republican presidential nomination today by becoming the first major candidate to announce a White House bid.Although he stopped short of confirming he was definitely running, he said he was forming an exploratory committee to gauge his chances in the 2012 election.Eschewing the traditional press conference, Mr Pawlenty posted a video with the announcement on
