SYDNEY (MarketWatch) - House prices in Australia's eight capital cities rose 0.7% in the three months to the end of December, the Australian Bureau of Statistics reported Tuesday. Prices increased 1.6% in Sydney and 1.3% in Melbourne, while prices fell in Perth by 3.2%. Annually the index rose 5.8% to December 2010.
